Tasha laid in her favorite spot of the entire forest. It was a small grassy knoll near the lake. In front of her, the lake glistened in the shining moonlight and behind her the forest sounded alive with the different creatures calling to each other.
  She could hear all of this with her big ears, unnaturally big and sensitive, she could hear a ladybirds footstep and she could hear the quietest whispers of rumor and tales and she could hear the slightest change in somebody’s heartbeat and can tell if they are feeling sad or happy.
  But this heart, she could hear near her is neither sad nor happy. This heart was nervous and shy. And he was standing just behind her in the shadows of the forest. This heart has watched her in secret several times before.
“You know that blue creature is watching you again.” A black shadow formed out of thin air. His name was Zach. He was a shadow being, accidentally created by Tasha when she was young, now he always watches over her in one form or another. And he did not take kindly to other creatures watching over her in secret.
“I do not trust him”  he hissed “I could easily go over and kill him like …”
“No one is getting killed” Tasha thought, knowing that Zach could hear her but Cobalt won’t.
“Cobalt is as friend of mine,”
“So why is he hiding,”
“He’s just shy,”
“Of what, who ?”
That made Tasha stop arguing  and silent as she started thinking what all this snooping means as she tried to piece together the puzzle which concluded to 1 main idea.
“He does not,”
“Yes he does,”
“Give me proof, your always snooping around me,”
“Well he always blushes when your near, he is always over-protective with you ..”
“He is over-protective with everyone …”
“Let me finish, and when your around does he usually leave, correct me if I’m wrong,”
“Yeah he does but that does not mean anything …”
“YES IT DOES !”
Tasha was losing an argument with a SHADOW for goodness sake.
As she was about to turn her head to see Cobalt, she saw her freeing AJ walking towards her with a smile on her face. She quickly turned to see if Cobalt was still there but it was no use, he had already darted off into the forest when he saw AJ.
“Ya want to go hunting with me Tasha ??” AJ asked. Tasha gave one final look behind her at the forest, “Sure,” Tasha replied as they started walking away from the watcher in the shadows.
